Me: I don't WANT to go to the stupid dance!
My name is Izumi Takahashi. I'm 23 years old and a Jonin of Konoha Leaf Village. My mother raised me alone because my father died while he was on a mission. The 3rd Hokage is hosting a dance for everyone in the village tonight and my friend, Kurenai Yuhi, is trying to get me to go.
Ku: Why don't you want to go?
Me: Unlike you and Anko, I don't have a date!
Ku: Why don't you ask Kashi-kun?
I may or may not have a HUGE crush on the Copy-Cat ninja, Kakashi Hatake.
Me: (blushing) I can't do that!
Ku: Why not?
Me: HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've only had a crush on him since we were in the Academy!
Man: Had a crush on who?
We turned around to see who it was.
Me: (blushing harder) KAKASHI!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Ka: Hey, Izumi.
Ku: I have to go buy a dress for tonight, Izumi. (running off) LATER!!!!!!!!!!!
Me: KURENAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *in head* SURE, just leave me here with him. GREAT friendship there, Kurenai.
Ka: What's tonight?
Me: You forgot ALREADY!?
Ka: What?
Me: Lord Hokage told us last week he was throwing a dance for the village tonight!
Ka: Oh, yeah. I remember that now.
Me: Airhead. I'm going home.
Ka: (grabbing my wrist) Wait.
Me: What?
Ka: Are YOU going to the dance?
Me: No. I don't have a date.
Ka: You do now.
I turned to him and my face turned BRIGHT red.
Me: HUH!?
Ka: I'm asking you to the dance.
Me: I um...... O-okay.
*LATER THAT NIGHT*
*IZUMI'S HOUSE*
Me: Mom, what do you think of this dress?
Mom: It's beautiful, sweetie. It defines who you are as a person.
Me: Arigato. Are you sure you don't want to come with me? Lord Hokage has had his eye on you for quite a long time.
Mom: Don't worry. I'll be there later.
Me: Okay. (walking out) See you later.
*AT THE DANCE*
Me: He's late. *sigh* Figures he'd stand me up. Every guy does.
Man: Hey, Izumi.
I looked up to see Kakashi standing in front of me in an all dark blue suit. WOW.
Me: Where have you been? The dance is half over!
Ka: Sorry. I ran into Sakura on my way over. She wouldn't shut up about how good I look and how she's here with Sasuke.
Me: *giggle* I see.
Iru: Last dance, everyone! Here's a special song for every couple out there!
Ka: (grabbing my hand) Dance with me.
Before I could object, he had me out in the middle of the dancefloor. EVERYONE was watching us dance.As I was dancing with Kakashi, I thought, maybe NOW would be a good time to tell him how I TRULY feel.
Me: Arigato. Are you sure you don't want to come with me? Lord Hokage has had his eye on you for quite a long time.
Mom: Don't worry. I'll be there later.
Me: Okay. (walking out) See you later.
*AT THE DANCE*
